Edwardian Chinoiserie Mirror

1900 - 1920
Description

A very attractive painted and parcel gilt-wood framed rectangular wall mirror in Chinoiserie taste, dating from circa 1900. Ogee moulded, the upper and lower sides with floral decoration, the vertical sides with branch-work descending to pagodas, the corners with cross-hatched decoration, all on a pale green/duck-egg blue ground. Lovely age and patina to paintwork, a stunning piece.

Construction/Wood:

Pine

Condition Report:

Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some old areas where paint has chipped off. Mirror plate is old but possibly a replacement.
