Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The chairs have good sturdy oak frames with barley twist turned, columns, legs and stretchers, the seats are in Beregere or Flat Cane, 2 of the seats have been re caned some time ago so the pattern of the caning is slightly different, and the seats have a carved border.
The chairs are in very sound with no loose joints, they are in very good condition for their age, as are the caned seats
The chairs are 43” high at the back, 18” across the front and seats are 18” high.
