Large French Aubusson Style Wall Hanging Tapestry

1900 - 1920
Description

A very attractive French Aubusson style wall-hanging TAPESTRY of good colour and in excellent condition.

According to the label on the back, this is a "faithful reproduction of a 15th century Aubusson design" and was made by Robert Four, rue de Richelieu, Paris, probably in the early/mid 20th century. It depicts various birds amongst the verdant grounds of a large chateau within a floral border and measures 76ins wide by 54ins high (193 x 137cms)
