An Antique Ww1 Period Zenith Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique WW1 period Zenith pocket watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with an unusual regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Zenith name and it has the serial number 1853182 which dates it back to 1915. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of medals previously won by Zenith, together with details about the movement.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The galonne case (silver with rose gold wash highlights) is in lovely condition. The back cover opens up to reveal the Zenith stamp together with Swiss hallmarks for 800 silver.

The lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is signed with the Zenith name - it is in beautiful condition. The ornate hands are a charming feature although one is probably a later replacement as it is a slightly different shade of gold.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
