Drawers two and three open to reveal a fall front secretaire writing compartment with satin birch and mahogany drawers and pigeon holes and a baize lined writing surface. All the drawers retaining their original turned drawer pulls, flanked by solid mahogany pilasters with carved corbels. The right hand pilaster hinged and acting as the traditional "wellington" locking mechanism with the original working lock and key. Having solid mahogany sides and supported on a mahogany plinth. English circa 1870-1880

Condition: This wellington chest is in stunning condition, cleaned and waxed. Replacement baize lining.
