Victorian, Brass Bound, Mahogany Writing Slope.

Description

A lovely flame mahogany Victorian writing slope or "Lapdesk". Brass binding to the corners and brass cartouche (Plain and unsigned) to the top with a brass escucheon to the key lockable front. Superb patina to the flame mahogany, with a nicely polished finish.

A green leather inset with gold patterning.

There are three secret drawers and ample document storage within. One ink bottle.

20" (50cms)

10" (26cms)

6" (15cms)

"20" X 20" when open.
