Description

A good quality mid-19th century Gentlemans fitted TRAVELLING DRESSING CASE in excellent condition.

The box itself is of well-figured coromandel wood, edged with brass and inset with an oval cartouche to the lid. This lid opens to reveal the well-fitted interior with eleven silver-topped bottles; jars and implements, including a good three-piece shaving brush, all of which are fully hallmarked and engraved with a Stags Head Coat of Arms. There is an easel mirror in the lid and the full set of four brushes within the base.

Signed by the makers (Mechi) and complete with original Bramah key. Hallmarked for London 1859
