Regency Mahogany Desk Chair

19th century
Description

Regency mahogany desk chair

Here we have this Regency mahogany open arm desk chair, with an exceptional leather buttoned seat.

This particular chair is made in a high grade mahogany and would have been selected by the chairmaker for its colour and denseness of timber.

The desk chair is constructed and carved to a high standard.

The curved bar back has a lovely curl to the timber and a lovely small scroll carving to the edge that gives it just that extra bit of style.

There is a straight bar across the middle of the back that has well carved reeding in the centre.

The open arms again have reeds and end in a scroll grip , the seat of the chair in a lovely warm tan leather with a 5 button design.

The chair then stands on superb turned front legs that again have reeds carved into them.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
