A Fine Quality French Ormolu Porcelain Mantel Clock

Description

A very fine quality French ormolu and porcelain mantel clock. Crisp two-tone gilding with silver gilt floral bottom case edging. Aqua blue porcelain panels with a river scene to the dial centre. Gold edging to the numbered panels. Surmounted by a cherub and well detailed case sides. An 8-day duration mechanism by Japay of Paris, 1/2 hour and hour bell striking. Circa 1890.
