Charles II Silver Trefid Spoon John King London 1673

17th century
Description

Lovely Charles II silver trefid spoon by John King. Simple, clean example with a reeded rat tail to the back of the bowl. Fully marked with the London leopard, lion and maker's initials. The year mark is partially obscured but I believe is the Q for 1763. The owner's initials R*V are also engraved to the rear of the finial.

It measures 19cm (7 1/2") long and the bowl is 4.8cm (1 7/8") wide. It weighs 55g/1.8ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage and light surface wear for age.

In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
