A Beautiful Mahogany & Gilt Late Victorian Period Settee

Description

A beautiful mahogany & gilt Late Victorian antique settee. Having a curved and shaped back with carved and gilded harebell detail and a central gilded ribbon. The swept arms also with gilt hi-lighted detail. Having a feather filled shaped cushion newly up-holstered in Zoffany Arabesque fabric, above the arcaded channelled front seat rail with with further gilded detail and supported on four elegant turned fluted legs with further gilt detail and applied gilded roundels. English circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 57" wide x 29" deep x 36" high (Seat 48" wide x 23" deep x 22" high)

Condition: The frame is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Newly re-upholstered in Zoffany Arabesque fabric in our workshops
