Of tapering octagonal form , with peony and chrysanthemum-type flower-head design decorated body with vignette panels of vines, grapes and 'Oriental' fantasy landscapes. Striking combination of design and colours ,with strong cobalt blues, reds, gold and with green highlights.

A stunning 'tour-de-force' example of Japanese porcelain at its most exuberant and flamboyant best.
Wonderful decorative vase , which alternatively could be fitted and wired as a lamp-base.
No cracks or damage to the body , minor historic repair to one facet of the raised neck(shown).
