Description

Antique burr walnut & walnut writing table by Maple & Co Of London. Having a rectangular top with canted corners with three inset green leather panels with gilt and blind tooled detail and with a walnut cross banded border. The five oak lined rectangular drawers each with burr walnut drawer fronts with herringbone banding, pierced brass backplate handles and Hobbs and Co brass locks. With a shaped knee hole, polished walnut sides and back the whole supported on acanthus carved cabriole supports with pad feet. Bearing the Maple & Co Of London Label. This desk can be used free standing in the centre of a room. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 54" wide x 30" deep x 30" high (knee hole 23.5" high x 21" wide)

Condition: This writing table is in excellent original condition. cleaned and waxed
