Oak Box Settle with Linen Fold Carving C.1910.

1900 - 1920
Description

Exceptional Edwardian oak box settle or hall bench c.1910. Crisp vine and grape carving to top rail over four linen fold panels (with unusual heart detail) repeated on the panels below the seat. Shaped arms with scroll ends and turned supports. Lots of useful storage for shoes etc below the lift up seat board. Solid oak floorboards, rear and side panels. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Dimensions: width 48", depth 20", height 40".
