A Beautiful Rosewood Regency Period Side Cabinet

19th century
Description

A beautiful Regency Period rosewood antique side cabinet possibly by Gillows Of Lancaster. Having a white and grey veined rectangular marble top above an egg and dart moulded edge. Having a single rectangular brass grilled door with pencil pleated silk backing and finely cut brass inlaid roundels. The door flanked by reeded pilasters with cast ormolu corinthian capitols, opening to reveal a shelved interior. Raised on a moulded plinth and with typical Gillow style bun feet, with solid rosewood sides. Although un-marked this cabinet has many characteristics of Gillows furniture and was removed from a country house in the Lancaster area. English circa 1810-1820

Dimensions: 34" wide x 20" deep x 38" high

Condition: This cabinet is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. Later replacement marble top
