The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The movement is unsigned but it does have a serial number. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 55mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and it is in good condition with just light surface marks.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The white enamel dial is in good condition with just one hairline crack between 4 and 5. The hour and minute hands are initially set by way of the pin-set mechanism. The chronograph button is started and stopped with the sliding button… as with early chronographs, the movement stops ticking when the button is in the off position.
