Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
It still has the original brass hooks inside. There are some drop down fittings to hold a bar for hangers, but the bar is missing. It's not a problem, because we will have another bar fitted before it goes out. A lot of antique wardrobes are too shallow to take hangers, but this one is extra deep, so there will be no problem there. There is also a full length mirror on the back of one of the doors. This wardrobe is superb quality throughout, which is what you would expect from a 'Maple & Co' piece. It separates into four sections for easier transportation. The top lifts off & there are two middle sections which sit on the base. There are no screws in it now & it sits together nicely. The original brass drop handles also turn to release the door catches.
