Description

Superb George III mahogany barrel back corner cupboard c.1790. A really impressive piece of Georgian furniture, standing 7½ feet tall, of the most wonderful coloured mahogany timbers. Shaped and fielded panel doors with matching flame mahogany veneers on solid mahogany ground open to reveal a barrel back interior and dome top with shaped shelves and original paintwork. Moulded cornice and plinth and fabulous deep fluted returns at the sides, running into filled flutes as they descend. Unusually the semi-circular base of the top section folds open to make a round serving table. There is also a single pine drawer in the base. In fantastic condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied. Splits into two sections for delivery.

Dimensions: height 79½", depth to corner 31", width 48".
