Oversized Antique English Brass Desk or Counter Bell C.1880

Description

A most impressive desk or counter bell, much larger than the norm, with a base diameter measuring 6 1/4" and standing 5 1/4" to top of button strike on the top. The base and button are made from solid cast English brass and the bell from a bell metal, all having been professionally polished to gleam.

The top of the button has an attractive cast decoration and when struck with the palm of the hand creates a very authoritative ring, however the tone most pleasing.

Victorian in era, dating to around 1880. Excellent condition.
