19th Century Brass Reading or Music Stand

A very attractive piece, the stand is made entirely in brass, the brass is rope twisted column divides into 3 at the floor and forms superb claw like feet (similar to a bird of prey like and eagle)

The book rest is lyre shaped and has an adjustable angle

This would be a useful piece to hold notes for public speaking or perhaps as a menu holder in a Bistro Bar or as it was intended as music stand

The stand is 51” high and 16” across at floor level
