A Beautiful Mahogany Inlaid Late Victorian Period Display Cabinet

Description

A beautiful fiddleback mahogany, marquetry inlaid Late Victorian Period antique display cabinet. The upper section with a broken swan neck pediment having ribbon and swag inlaid detail, above the central serpentine glazed door, which opens to reveal plate glass shelves and a silk lined interior with concave glazed end panels. The lower section again of serpentine outline having twin fiddleback mahogany doors beautifully inlaid in a variety of exotic woods and with stunning pen-work detail, similarly inlaid on the concave panelled ends. Supported on tapering splayed supports again beautifully inlaid with swags and harebells and united by a shaped under-tier. Although un-marked this cabinet was probably made by Edwards & Roberts Of London or Maple & Co English circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 74" high x 34" wide x 18" deep at base x 16" deep at top

Condition: This cabinet is in stunning condition, re-lined and re-polished in our workshops
