Pair of Gastronomic Still Lives C.1920.

Description

Pair of early 20th.c. hand painted panels each featuring still lives of delicious looking gastronomic subjects. A cooked lobster and a prepared fish with langoustines and garlic are displayed amongst bowls and baskets of fresh fruit. In oil on canvas laid onto boards of unusual demi-lune shape (perhaps taken from restaurant menu boards). Presented in moulded walnut frames. Excellent condition.

Dimensions: width 242, height 13".
