Description

Attractive late 19th.c. mahogany box settle or hall seat c.1870. Shaped and carved cresting rail over a two panel backrest with carved mouldings and shaped arms on carved supports. Useful storage for shoes etc below the lift up seat. With a repeat of the backrest panels on the front of the base with carved brackets at the feet. Some wear to the seat typical of age, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
