A Stunning Burr Walnut Art Deco Period Dining Suite

A Stunning burr walnut Art Deco Period dining room suite probably designed by Hille comprising of a dining table which seats eight people, a set of eight dining chairs, a sideboard and a cabinet. The table having a rectangular top veneered in the finest burr walnut with a cushion moulded edge. The top supported on asymmetric angular end supports again veneered in the finest burr walnut and united by Macassar ebony stretchers. The eight dining chairs having typical art deco designed angular backs which are veneered in figured walnut with shaped walnut rear supports, square tapering chamfered front supports and newly re-upholstered in high quality cream leather hide with double piped detail. The bottom of each back support having macassar ebony veneered detail. The matching serving sideboard also veneered in the finest burr walnut and having three central rectangular mahogany lined drawers flanked by cupboards, enclosing mahogany shelves and supported on a burr walnut veneered plinth with Macassar ebony detail also retaining the original stylish chrome handles. Further complimenting this suite is a small two door burr walnut veneered glazed cabinet with two velvet lined cutlery drawers, above twin bevelled glass doors opening to reveal a shelved interior and again raised on a burr walnut veneered plinth with Macassar ebony veneered detail. Further emphasising the quality of this suite are the ends of the sideboard and cabinet which are veneered in the finest burr walnut to show no expense was spared when this suite was designed and manufactured. Condition: This suite has been fully re-polished in our workshops by a specialist French polisher with great care and attention to detail so this suite looks exactly as it would have done when it was originally purchased. The upholstery has been done by a traditional upholsterer retaining the original horse hair filling but replacing the springs in the seats. We have photographs of the whole process to show if required.
