A magnificent eight bottle cruet, hallmarked for London 1794 with the maker''s mark of the highly collectible silversmith, Robert Hennell I. The oval stand has a beaded edge and beautiful mahogany base. The handle is elegant and the stand is raised on four scroll feet. There are eight silver-mounted bottles with faceted bodies. The bottles are all matching and look to be original. All of the silver lids, and the long silver spoon, carry the same hallmarks - some are more rubbed than others, but all are discernible.There are small chips to two of the glass stoppers (hardly surprising, given the age of the glass) and damage to top of one glass bottle, which has been rectified at some point by securing the lid to the glass, as highlighted in pictures 8 & 9.
