There are many triple wardrobes with mirrored central doors on the market, but none will compare with this; the finest quality English cabinetmaking with carefully selected beautifully well-figured timbers, and a lovely finish in superb condition. The interior is currently comprised of a linen press compartment with drawers below. The slides and the shelf can be taken out without any damage and, with the addition of a brass hanging rail, a useful half-height hanging compartment can be created with an internal height of 49” (1245mm). The left hand door conceals a full-height wardrobe section with a fitted brass rail. There are working sliding door bolts, and sprung latches to the outer two doors operated by their original turned knob handles. This truly wonderful English wardrobe dates from c.1860s/1870s and was almost certainly made by a top London cabinetmaking company.
