A Gents 1940s Roamer Wrist Watch

Description

A gents 1940s Roamer wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely and keeping good time to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed with the Roamer Watch Co name and it is protected by an inner cover.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated and there is some pitting as you would expect with a 1940s watch, with further wear on the back of the watch.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has fantastic 1940s character with original hands, centre seconds hand and an outer minute marker. The dial is in super condition.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
