Description

Lovely little Meissen trinket dish with a shaped rim, cobalt blue ground and rich gilded detail of feathery fronds as borders and roundels. In the centre a quatrefoil vignette painted with a small 17th century scene of two soldiers on their horses with a dog, standing by a lake with landscape background. Mid-late 19th century blue crossed swords mark and impressed numbers 3 and 75.

It measures 4 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" high. Condition is excellent; just a very little rubbing to the gilding on the rim.
