Description

Very sweet German figure of a monkey band member by either Carl Schneider or Volkstedt. Lovely quality figure with detailed modelling and very finely painted decoration. After the originals by Meissen, this one has similar pastel colourings to the base and represents the trumpet player.

It measures 5" high and 3 1/4" wide. Condition is very good; just some light fritting to the rim of the trumpet. Minimal surface wear, just a little rubbing to the gilding.
