The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold plated and was made by the English based watch case company Dennisons. Overall the case is in good condition with just minor marks, all very acceptable for its age.

The front cover has Roman numerals around a small plastic lens. The numerals are filled with dark blue enamel - some of the enamel has fallen out over the years but mainly from the surrounding ring. The winding crown pushes down to open the front cover. It reveals a white enamel dial with a glass lens which is in good condition. The dial is in lovely condition with just a short white scratch, hardly worth mentioning as it is insignificant. Blued steel hands designed so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed … with conventional hands, it would be impossible to tell which hand was which through the small lens
