Indian Design Mantel Clock

19th century
Description

A fine quality Indian designed mantel clock. A multi coloured case with decorated feet, front panels, gallery and domed pediment. A silvered dial with central scene. A well detailed lower panel with figures and an elephant. A French mechanism by noted maker, Achille Brocot of Paris of 8-day duration. Hourly and half hour gong striking. The original giltwood velvet lined base stand. Circa 1880.

Width 11 " / 28 cms

Depth 7 " / 18 cms
