A Gents 1954 Longines Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Longines wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 12.68Z hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and it also has the serial number 9,496,452 which dates it back to 1954.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it is a decent size for a 1950s piece. The case is stainless steel and it has the Longines signed winding crown.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a little age related marking but is very acceptable for such an early piece. Original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
