Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
This is a rare Omega Seamaster Automatic, the very first Seamaster chronometer calibre 354.

The dial is original and in remarkable condition just slightly yellowed with time and very even.
The hands have the original lume and the crown is original with no signs of rub through on the gold plating. The case has only been ultrasonically cleaned and hand polished with a soft cloth , all of the edges and surfaces are sharp and even.

As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
Inside the back are all of the correct markings including the Swiss squirel hallmark for 14k gold, there are also no less than 12 servicing marks, clearly this was a prized and pampered watch.

The heavy solid 14ct gold case is fully hallmarked and of course it has the Seamaster logo on the crown.
It comes complete with a new premium quality chestnut brown leather strap.
Omega are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.

The watch case measures 34mm in diameter not including the crown.
Overall this watch is in incredible original condition and highly sought after by Omega collectors, this is one of the best unrestored examples of this model we have ever come across.

The watch has been fully serviced by Alan Williams FBHI and is guaranteed to be a genuine Omega in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
