A Gents 1950s Oversized Cauny Prima Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s oversized Cauny Prima wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, signed Cauny, which is working nicely.

The watch is a generous size at 40mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. A standard sized watch from this period would measure around 32mm so it is substantially larger. The case is stainless steel and is in good condition with just light surface marks.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has a fabulous appearance with a quartered textured dial which is in super condition. Copper coloured numbers, markers and hands, and also a sub seconds dial and a minute marker track.

A later black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
