Description

A stylish antique William IV rosewood chair dating from circa 1835. A good quality, solid chair with attractively carved top rail and bar back it stands on turned front legs. It has a drop in seat which has been newly recovered in an embroidered linen fabric with designs of birds and foliage in lilac on a stone ground. In beautifully figured rosewood, solid and sturdy, would make a wonderful desk chair.

Good condition. Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over existing horsehair upholstery which is sound.
