Edwardian Mahogany Armchair or Tub Chair

Description

An elegantly shaped antique Edwardian high back armchair or tub chair in mahogany with stringing. It has back and side splats with stringing and a diamond with inlay. It has shaped arm supports and stands on tapered legs culminating in spade feet. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound (sprung) in an ivory self-pattern brocade. Dating from circa 1910.

Good condition. Solid and sturdy. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound (sprung seat). A small hairline crack to the top rail (solid).

Depth : 19 inches

Height to seat: 17 inches
