The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Dragooning edging and other finely detailed decoration, along with its impressive size makes this a real show stopper.

The drip catchers are detachable and the body separates in the middle. The lower section has a drip catcher also and so it can be used as a single candlestick as well
It is marked to the base for Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. c.1870. It measures 21"/53cm high and 15"/38cm wide. Condition is very good; there is a little plate wear to the sharp edges of the stepped base and sharp ridges on the column but nothing of note. No damage or dents.
