William IV Rosewood Writing Table C.1830.

Description

Beautiful William IV rosewood writing or sofa table c.1830. Top features symmetrically arranged rosewood veneers and a crossbanded edge on solid mahogany groundwork. Over a shaped apron to both sides with carved acanthus leaf detail and a single drawer hidden in the front. On splendid tapering column legs terminating with stepped and carved plinths raised on scrolling acanthus feet and castors. Note the lack of a connecting stretcher allows the table to be used as a writing desk. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Dimensions: width 48", depth 24", height 28½".
