Double Sided Carved Console Table C.1920.

Description

Unusual early 20th.c. mahogany console table c.1920. Solid mahogany top with bold gadrooned edge over two drawers to the front hidden within a fluted Adam’s style frieze with carved centre roundel and floral garlands at the corners. Raised on impressive cabriole legs to the front and rear with crisp carved detail ending in ball and claw feet and joined with a useful stretcher shelf with carved edge. Superior quality, in solid mahogany with oak drawer linings. Unsually the decoration from the front is repeated in total on the rear (the side with straight edge to the shelf). Some fading and minor wear to the top, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Dimensions: width 54", depth 18", height 35".
