London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
This is an English antique Victorian morning room or library chair dating to c.1860.
The generous proportions of the legs, rails and arms display wonderful colour and patina framing the light floral patterned upholstery complete with arm pads and a show back.

The ring turned front legs are complimented by the out swept rear legs and are united by deep seat rails with subtly recessed panels. The down swept arms are supported by curved brackets creating a decorative scroll detail to the fore.

The architectural crest rail dressed with scroll brackets to the sides completes the look of this piece with its revival accents and greco overtones.
In stunning condition, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
