Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1910s.
They have been newly reupholstered in a golden heavy brocade fabric. These are more suited as decorative side or hall chairs rather than chairs for heavy use.

The chairs have a number of splits and old mends to the veneers (see photos). They are certainly more of a decorative and suit occasional use rather than heavy use. The frames are solid and have been newly reupholstered.
