Georgian Regency English Twin Fusee Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A Georgian Regency English twin fusee bracket/mantel clock. A well proportioned mahogany case with brass inlays. Side glass handles and surmounted by a pineapple cast finial. A convex painted dial and convex glass to the cast brass bezel. A double fusee mechanism of 8-day duration striking the hours on a bell. An original crank key for winding. Circa 1820.

Dwerrihouse & Carter of London are noted makers who worked from 1802-1823.
