An Antique Omega Pocket Watch, C1912

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Omega pocket watch, c1912.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and it has the serial number 4,119,426 which dates it to around 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. It is gold plated and was made by the England based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has engine turned detail to the back with a central vacant cartouche.

The plastic lens has light scratches but is very acceptable.

The white enamel dial has three hairline cracks, the longest of which is around 1cm long. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a double pocket watch chain with each chain measuring 20cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
