Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
With a particularly attractive pierced and shaped apron across the front and continued on the sides. Raised on turned front legs with a shaped foot. Excellent condition, and fabulous colour cleaned and waxed in our workshops and retaining the original turned and ebonised knobs.

Interestingly the rear carries a paper retailer’s label from of Harrods Manchester. When Harrods purchased the Kendal Milne department store in Manchester in 1919 they briefly changed the name before protests from customers and staff persuaded them to reverse the decision just a year later. It seems the dresser was sold by their antique department at this time.
