This is an antique French armoire dating to the mid 19th Century.
The deep carving continues in the upper frieze beneath the generous crown moulding and also on the lower drawer and shaped apron beneath.
Dressed with solid brass furniture and original lock and key, the doors open to reveal adjustable shelving above three lower, oak lined drawers. The traditional pegged joints add strength to the generous oak stock framework, some historic worm, long since gone, has been professionally treated for good measure.
A provincial piece of great character, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
