C19th cast-lead lion's mask wall-fountain roundel. Well-defined cast lead lion's mask of good size and scale ,designed as a wall-fountain/water-feature for garden ,orangery or interior use. The powerfully depicted lion with an open mouth having a hole for the water spout or source. Good cast detail to the mane , eyes , teeth and nose. Has been manufactured with 4 holes to the surround to enable wall fixing and mounting .

In excellent condition , with a lightly-weathered patina. Some minor discolouration from the previous fixings around the mounting holes.

Highly decorative wall-mask which would work equally well in an interior or exterior setting as a fountain or simply a decorative object.
