London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
This is a small antique breakfront sideboard, c1900.
Expertly constructed in well figured, rustic, honey coloured oak this modestly proportioned sideboard is raised on shaped bracket feet detailed with sinuous curves and carved spiralling mirrored in the decoration above the field panel doors and bracketing to the open shelf.

Beneath the top is a broad, curved central drawer with smaller drawers to either side, each dressed with Art Nouveau style pressed brass handles. Below, a central open shelf is decorated with a curved, carved bracket above a field panel, double door cupboard flanked by tall shelved cupboards.

Inside the drawers are lined in period lining timber supplied by the East London company Venesta Limited with one printed with their detail. Around the turn of the century this importer's advertisements featured in the MacDonald's Gazetta.

Superb period charm and in good antique order, this piece is delivered waxed and polished ready for the home.
