Description

A French mantel clock with the original case gilding. Bevelled glass panels. The original gildwood, velvert lined base stand. An enamel dial with 'moon' blued steel hands and a visible escapement with jewelled pallet stones. A mercury compensating pendulum. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1880.
