The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
There is a basket of fruit and flowers on a stump to his left and the candle sconce is decorated in matching colours with a leaf effect drip catcher. Patch marks to the base this model dates to c.1765.

He measures 9 1/2" high, 7" wide and 4 1/4" deep. Condition is very good with no body damage or restoration. There are a few small chips to the bocage and flowers, and a few to the ribbons on his shoes and hat. The candle sconce moves freely on its bolt. There is an intermittent firing line to the top part of his left arm. Lovely bright enamels.
