Gorgeous art deco silver mesh evening bag with ornate, pierced and engraved clasp section unusually set with green and red cabochons. The mesh is formed from smooth scales, connected by hooks rather than the Victorian style chain link. Marked 900 and with a maker's mark I cannot unfortunately fathom but very sure its German.

It measures 25cm bottom to top of clasp and 24.5cm wide. The chain is 32cm long. It weighs 158g/5.58oz. Condition is very good, just light signs of age and use.
